This is a older Inn/ Motel. It has had a great deal of freshing up. The rooms were neat and clean. It was reasonable in price. Reasonably quiet, it does have a small pool in the center of the building. Close to the beach , on the ocean side but on the ocean highway. The beach is only a block away, easy walk onto the beach due to the rug like foot walk ways, used to protect the dunes. Very close to multiple restaurants and stores. Easy walking on the small rd that runs from the state line to the state park, along the community access rd. I did have my asthma triggered due to the musty smell related to the constant dampness of a beach property.

We stayed here 15 years ago, and boy has it been upgraded from 2010 to 2025! It was a cheap motel then, but workable, outdated and very bold colors. Now it is much classier and cleaner. It is pet friendly, so, yay! And there is grass all around to potty your pet. We stayed off season and experienced a broken fridge, no hot water at all the whole day/night, and saw black mold under the sink. BUT, the young man on duty was amazing and respectful and helped us out. His integrity was refreshing. Still, we def recommend this place for atmosphere, steps from the beach, pet friendliness, and nice staff. What are the chances those unlikely problems would happen to anyone else? Just a fluke. Price was reasonable, too.

We loved our four night stay! Very clean rooms and in a perfect spot for the beach, shopping and dining! Staff was super friendly and helpful. The complimentary coffee is a bonus. Our dog was delighted as well. People were very friendly and overall we would give more than 5 stars if possible!

One block from the beach and near good restaurants and shops, this is absolutely the best deal you’ll find in Fenwick Island or the surrounding areas. It is an owner operated business that has provided thoughtful and friendly service since 2013. We have stayed here on several occasions since and have never been disappointed. The rates are affordable, the rooms are clean, there’s coffee in the lobby and a pool on site. Ervin and his staff have always gone out of their way to make our stay a pleasurable one. We always look forward to a return visit.

Have stayed at the Seaside in twice now, and both stays were excellent. Great location, very quiet, and excellent service. Rooms were always clean and staff was always efficient and friendly. The first time I forgot my bathing suit in the room, and after a phone call to the front desk, they happily mailed it back to me. Will definitely be staying here during our next trip to Fenwick!

Had a great experience at the Seaside Inn starting with the friendly staff at the front desk for check-in. You can tell the owners and staff really take pride in their business. The facilities and rooms were clean and accommodating. The AC was perfect! Better than some higher priced hotels I've been too. The main caveat was that there are no elevators, it is stairs only. But for it's price point, this hotel really impressed. Also, it's only a couple minutes walk to the beach! And if you want to explore the surrounding area/beaches, there are plenty of opportunities only a short drive away.

Very well taken care of and the rooms are cleaned thoroughly. The owners clearly take pride in this establishment…the pool is adorable and the surrounding plants really make it a welcoming focal point just beyond the front office. Coffee is made all day and it is good! There aren’t any elevators but my family of four managed easily as we were only on the second floor. Each room has a balcony. Although the hotel is on coastal highway we never heard traffic and crickets could be heard walking the side street each evening. The location is a minute walk to the beach, breakfast spots are a block away (try High Tide) a terrific family restaurant is directly across the street (Warren’s Station). One night we were without our kids so husband and I ate at Our Harvest a few blocks away—it was the best food we had all summer!! We were only booked for three days but there was a flyer in the door offering a special to extend our stay!! We did and feel that we will stay here again when we are back at the beach!

This is not a “5 star” luxury hotel, but it is worth a 5 star rating for being a budget-friendly hotel that will likely meet your needs for a clean, comfortable stay near the beach. I love that the room doesn’t have grimy carpets. They are basic, but modern and clean. While I would have loved a coffee maker in the room, the office pot of coffee was just fine. Friendly staff, cute “retro/vintage” feel. I don’t think that is what they are going for, but it’s just a well-maintained older property. Short drive to Bethany (our family’s preferred area here) and short walk to beach. We have stayed here 4 times and likely will in the future.

Other reviews are telling the truth when they say this hotel is VERY CLEAN! You can tell the housekeepers take great pride in making sure every room is spotless. It's not outdated at all and looks even better in person than the pictures online show. Check-in and checkout were super simple and fast! The ac was super quiet and kept the room very cool even on a sweltering day with high humidity. The pool was small but relaxing when we couldn't be at the beach due to a storm. The hotel is in walking distance to several excellent restaurants and breakfast places, which is convenient as breakfast is not offered here. The neighborhood and hotel itself is very quiet and family-oriented. Everyone was asleep at decent hours and I wasn't woken up at all by any noises, not even the street sounds as it's a quiet area. The hotel is also situated on the beach side of the highway, so it's a a very quick and safe walk down a small residential type street to the beach access. Of all the beach spots between Dewey and Ocean City, this is by far the least crowded, most clean, and quiet. It had the feel of being very private. There is also a lifeguard on duty at this beach access. Some cons were the uncomfortable beds (the mattress sounded like a blowup mattress for some reason and was very hard), the very slow wifi (the tv only has wifi channels), and the scratchy toilet paper. Another note: I noticed this hotel is wheelchair inaccessible. There are ramps up to the first floor on the backside of the hotel, but there is NO wheelchair access to the main office. In all, I would absolutely stay here again if visiting the area again!

We booked a queen suite, which includes a couch and two arm chairs. The room was clean, beds were comfortable (neither hard nor squishy soft), and lighting was excellent (so many hotel rooms have dark or dingy lighting). I'm giving the service rating a 4 only because we didn't use room service during our 3 days there so I can't comment on it, but the front office staff were extremely nice. It was also great to be walking distance of a few restaurants/shops. The beach at this point is excellent, not crowded at all. And it's immediately south of Coastal Kayak (barely 1/2 mile), so that was an added bonus. We'll definitely return.
